PCC to convene All Christian Parties Conference to end blasphemy law. Nazir Bhatti

Karachi: September 29, 2009. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have extended invitation to leaders of Christian social, religious and political groups to participate in “All Christian Parties Conference” on October 24, 2009, to finalize strategy of movement against government of Pakistan to end blasphemy law. The All Christian Parties Conference is convened by PCC after governments failure to repeal blasphemy law till September 25, 2009. The Christian leaders from all walks of life are invited by PCC at Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad on October 24, 2009, to enable their participation in large number that forceful movement may be launched against controversial blasphemy law which is being used against Christian in Pakistan. The Karachi PCC leadership will host Christian social and political leaders from Baluchistan province and all districts of Sindh province in All Christian Parties Conference. The Lahore PCC Council shall host leaders from Gujranwala, Sialkot, Kasur, Faisalabad, Toba Tek, and other south western districts of Punjab on October 24, 2009, in All Christian Parties Conference. The Islamabad PCC leaders shall serve Christian leaders of NWFP and Rawalpindi, Jehlum, Attack, Gujrat district of Punjab province on October 24, 2009. Morris Sadiq, Secretary General of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC, clarified that to convene All Christian Parties Conference in three cities shall provide opportunity of participation to regional leaders and groups active on district level . “PCC plans a united and nationwide movement of Christians to end blasphemy law in Pakistan” said Morris Sadiq The All Christian Parties Conference shall decide date and places to observe rallies and hunger strikes throughout Pakistan to make movement forceful and peaceful for repeal of blasphemy law.
