Cornwall, Canada. April 27. The prominent peace campaigner, writer, poet and critic writer, d. Stephen Gill in a letter to Rev. Mark Harding have written that. Dear Brother Mark Hardy: I appreciate your continuous struggle to protect the beauty of human rights that the fundamentalists try to bury in the grave of their lies. As long as we have crusaders like Mark Hardy, the light of free speech needs not to fear. You have the blessings from the human rights activists. Without the concerns and courage of persons like you, democracy will never be safe. The followers of light know that peace is the mother of the music that caresses citizens to be carried softly to the valley of repose. Peace is the sickle that uproots bushes from the land of the ravens of lawlessness and insecurity. We do not need that land of the ravens. Humans all over the world, except those who were born and have been living in the dark and therefore do not know the nature of light, clamour for light, peace, prosperity that are not possible without the ideology of live and let live. We are blessed to be in Canada that believes and actively promotes the ideology of live and let live without trying to bury the light in the grave of lies. I want to talk about the CANADIAN BLUEPRINT FOR WORLD PEACE, and also present one or two poems on peace. Unfortunately, I will not be able to do so because of my prior commitments in the same week in which you are going to have your deliberations over peace in Kitchener. I value your concerns because they are based on sincerity. My own concerns stem from my early experiences in the subcontinent of India and Pakistan at the time of its division in 1947. At that time the Hindu and Muslims were killing one another to appease the god of religious fanaticism. Christians suffered and even now they do through no fault of their own. I do not want the god of fanaticism to rule the land of my peace. I wish good luck to you, Rev. Mark Hardy, and other participants in these peaceful deliberations to be able to travel the path of peace and freedom.
