All Pakistan Abadars and Growers announced Pakistan Abadgars Action Committee against the federal government ECC.
LARKANA: September 4, 2009. (Nazir Siyal for PCP) Sindh Chambers of Agriculture Larkana organized an emergency Joint Telephonic conference/meeting of the representatives of all Pakistan Abagar Associations against anti-growers policies formation by the “Economic Coordination (Rabita) Committee of federal government here at Naudero road Larkana on Friday.
The conference was attended by President Sindh Abadgar Board Abdul Majeed Nizamani, President Basmati Rice Growers Association Hamid Malhi, President Formers Association of Pakistan Brigadier (R) Mohammed Ramzan Malik, Secretary General Kissan Board Pakistan, President Aiwan-e- Zaraat Sindh Chamber of Agriculture Larkana Syed Siraj Rashdi, President Sindh Abadgar Board Kamber-Shahdadkot Mohammed Ishaq Mugheri and other several other local representatives were among the conference.
On the occasion, all Pakistan Abadgars Action Committee was unanimously formed and announced their members and office bearers were elected.
In this conference Abdul Majeed Nizamani was elected as the President of the PAAC, while Vice Presidents Ghulam Mohammed Chaudhry, Hamid Malhi, Gada Hussain Mahesar and General Secretary of the PAAC Syed Siraj Rashdi.
Whereas, unanimously resolution were passed and appealed to the President of Paksitan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani to reconsider the implementation of decision of economic coordination committee (ECC) in this regard and take action against the anti-grower policy makers. They said those figures should be exposed before the masses and such policies have enraged the growers, which they have created uncertainty among the all Pakistan growers.
They also said that such an endavior was to weakening the Agriculture sector and destruction of agriculture from the country. He said the government had set the target of 3.5 for agriculture growth, which the growers have achieved target by 4.7 respectively.
They said that Rs. 600 per 40 kg for paddy is not reasonable cost and Rs. 1250 per 40 kg is also not reasonable rates fro Banaspati super is an unjust and they were getting loss upto Rs. 75 percent and 155 respectively.
