Sindh Chief Minister announces Two Billion rupees Ramadan Package

LARKANA: August 27, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that an amount of Rs. Two billions subsidy under RAMDAN PACKAGE is being provided as Wheat throughout the Province. The 10 K.G Atta bag being provided in fixed rate Rs. 100/-. simultaneously the Ministers and Advisors will supervise the distribution of atta in their respective areas so that the poor-men may be given benefit from the Government policy. He said that the Sugar will be provided on utility stores in fixed price Rs. 38/- per K.G while in open market, sugar will be sold in Rs. 45/- per K.G. The Chief Minister said that 1000 low cost houses will be constructed in all over Sindh, hence, 500 houses each in Larkana/Badin districts were being constructed and 40 houses are being constructed in Union Council Pir Bux Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto in order to provide same houses to poor peoples. In this regard, the Govt: land is to be available then construction work will be started. The Chief Minister said that in hoarding case (50) fifty thousands fine will be imposed by Magistrates and imprisonment will be given for six months. He said that it will be ensured that the essential commodities of daily use may be sold in fixed price, meanwhile, black marketing will not be tolerated in any cost and the quantity/requirement of Atta for every district will be increased accordingly. On the occasion, District Coordination Officer, Larkana Mohammad Jaffar Abbasi briefed the Chief Minister that at present 27000 K.G of Sugar is available in Larkana. On the occasion, the Provincial Ministers Mohammad Ayaz Soomro, Agha Siraj Durani and Manzoor Ahmed Wasan were present while speaking with Journalists at Moenjodaro Airport. Later, the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah alongwith provincial Ministers Mohammad Ayaz Soomro , Agha Siraj Khan Durani and the members of Mazar committee offered Fateha on the Mazars of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto, Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto and late Amir begum and laid floral wreths on the Mazars of shuhada. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that meeting regarding NFC Award will be held at Islamabad on December 27, 2009. The Chief Minister himself (being a finance Minister) will attend the meeting and hoped that the demands for province of Sindh will be considered in the meeting and the rights of people of Sindh will be protected at any cost.. The chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali shah also presided-over a nmeeting of Mazar Committee at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto in the premises of Mazar. The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto will be completed in letter and sprit and the problems of people will be solved on priority basis. This he said while addressing in Iftar party hosted in his honour by Muhammad Ibrahim Soomro in village Bhando Qubo near Ratodero. Chief Minister announced Sui Gas, basic health unit for village and renovation and reconstruction of the primary school building of village Bhando Qubo. Besides, the Chief Minister also announced that land will be provided to landless women Haries as well as financial benefits will be provided to poor women of the village under Shaheed Benazir Income Support Program. The Chief Minister said that the Peoples Party is the party of workers. He said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto gave a sacrifice of her life for the rights of poor people and the restoration of Democracy in the country.On the occasion Sindh Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro thanked the Chief Minister for giving a time for the workers of small village and he also pointed out the problems of the area. Muhammad Ibrahim Soomro, Khan Bahadur Ghulam Mustafa Agham, Muhammad Sabir Soomro also spoke on the occasion and thanked the Chief Minister and Law Minister to come in their village for listening the problems of the people of village. On the occasion the traditional gifts Ajraks and caps presented to CM and other guests. Iftar party was largely attended by the high officials, prominent citizens, party leaders and workers of the Larkana District.
