Lahore, Pakistan: August 20, 2009. (PCP) On the 14th Aug. the day of freedom was celebrated by the Milap Children wing. This day was especially for the victims of those who died because of the burning of their houses killing human beings in the name of Religion and others. Before start our prayer. We all stood and sung the National Anthem to pay homage of our Nation. Not only that but also we can’t forget also the people whose blood is in the foundation. So many scarifies are being given. Pastor Joseph Javed and Pastor Lazer Hadayat came to the stage and Pastor Lazer said the opening prayer. Where he prayed for the peace and harmony in the country and all over the World. He prayed for our Government that God will give her the wisdom to run the country in a proper manner. We pray that the Blasphemy law will be controlled and not so many Christians or other Muslims will be victimized. Let us respect the religion of each other. We are Pakistanis so we too have the right to live fully and practice our religion accordingly. Let us live in harmony and peace with each other. Mrs Saida Inayat 80 years old said there was lot of killing and hatred that time but when the nation was settled it was just fine later. People have love and consideration for human life but in today’s World human life is worse than an animal. She said that I don’t know if this is the effect of too much education or the projection of media but this is not the Pakistan our founder wanted. A small boy of 9 years old said that we sing the National songs that its your Pakistan and its my Pakistan . Than how come we claim that its only the Muslims country because Liaqat Ali Khan and Quaid-e- Azam were Muslims. Pakistan became a Nation also that our old people too shed blood for it. We are also loyal Pakistan. The Children sung National song just keeping the small flag of Pakistan in there hand and waving it in the air. Inayat Bhai is 77 years old and he said that I would say that the 2 main persons, Liaqat Ali Khan and Quaid-e-azam were like 2 prophets for the country. Our Quaid said that not only the majority but also the minorities will have the full rights to practice there Religion and live as good citizens. He shared the story of Liaqat Ali Khan that he didn’t have even a merla land to build his house. One of the Sardar jee said that I have 60 Muraba land you just take that and give me some in India . He said no until I find a place for all the victims I can’t even think of myself. These were leaders of that time. But today we just think of ourselves and never mind the person next to us. Our tummy has to be full nothing else. Miss Margaret Piara director Milap said that let us greet each other with happiness that we are Pakistanis. In the Bible it is written that this is the beginning of your trails, your problems. So let us face them. As 1st. Christians have suffered a lot. If we want to be true Christians we have to go through all. Like Mr. Joseph Francis, like the people of Kasur, Toba and Gojra. I like that the President took a personal interest that the investigation should be done and all the culprits. President Asif Ali Zardari Friday expressed serious concern over the reported incident of setting the houses of Christian residents on fire in a Toba Tek Singh village and manhandling of police and journalists at the hands of lawyers, and called for an immediate inquiry report from the provincial government. The President asked for a thorough investigation into the incident and to bring the culprits to justice in accordance with the law. He also took notice the reports of some lawyers manhandling the policemen and journalists, and called for a report from the provincial government. The President called for mutual tolerance, respect for dissent and reconciliation. Tolerance for "It is therefore our responsibility to promote democratic values and culture as a necessary tool of promoting tolerance and harmony," he said. Commenting on the lawyers’ irresponsible and violent attitude, the president said the respecting the difference of opinion is the demand of democracy. Before we ended our program we all closed our eyes for 2 minutes and we prayed for the victims of bomb blasts and the recent happenings in Kasur, Toba and Gojara. We ended our program by singing the National song: I am Pakistan , you are Pakistan . You are my life and you are my respect. You are my faith. Let us walk together no mater its easy time and in difficulty as well.
