Corruption deprives of BISP stipend to thousands of women in Pakistan.

LARKANA: August 15, 2009.(Nazir siyal reports for PCP) – A large number of poor women deprived of BISP monthly stipend, corruption charges on the post masters and other staffs of the post offices throughout country. In Larkana post master and other staff has been suspended in a corruption, while the dream of Benazir Bhutto Youth Development program in doldrum, hundereds male and female youth still continue protest for stipend in Larkana and other parts of country. Several male and female youth (trainees) has registerd their complaints and protest for non provision of stipend and certificates in the Health, Education, Enterpreneurship training, Live stock and fisheries, Information technology, agriculture and other sectors. It is crystal clear that it was the objective of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to uplift the women economically and empower them, but the Post Office and other authorities have failed the Benazir Income Support Program and Youth Development Program all over the country. "Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Program" was to address the issues of poverty and un-employment through Human resource development. The Program aim was to provide skill development to approximately 100,000 semi-literate and educated unemployed youth in Sindh for a period varying between 3 months to one year. The unemployed youth will be offered various skill development opportunities and job oriented certification courses for raising their employability local and international job market. This will help contain poverty and improve the socio-economic conditions of common citizens. In addition, the public and private sector business efficiency will increase through a well-placed, developed and skilled workforce. It is now dream for the youth in their protests has proved everywhere and the women deprived of BISP scheme simultaneously.
