WMA marks Black Day in Islamabad, Protestors Blocked by Police to reach Parliament House.

Islamabad: August 11, 2009. (PCP report) “We the minorities are suffering and still waiting to get our democratic and constitutional right to elect our representatives to the assemblies. Since last 15 years only so-called selected puppets are on the stage and acting as representative, they are not our representatives but only usurpers because came up by selection not by elections.” These sentiments were out poured by Julius Salik who was addressing a mega rally on Minority Day announced by the present government. But World Minorities Alliance organized a mega rally on the day titled “Accountability & Black day”. A large number of muslims also attended the rally to show solidarity with christens. Syed Muhammad Bilal, Zilai Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan demanded punishment for culprits of burning and looting in Gojrah. He was addressing rally. A mega rally was organized by World Minorities Alliance on the day announced by the government as Minorities Day” Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani announced on 30th March, 2008 that his government shall provide 80 yards plots to all home less families living in rental house in cities; within 100 days but its not fulfilled yet so, to get solved problems of Kachchi Abadies, in favor of effected families of Gojrah incident and effectees of Chak Shehzad Police Action we are out today, explained by the organizer, Julius Salik who is also convener of World Minorities Alliance. “On 11th August, 1947 Father of Nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah addressing members of Pakistan Constituent Assembly Said “You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this State of Pakistan . You may belong to any religion or caste or creed — that has nothing to do with the business of the State... We are starting with this fundamental principle that we are all citizens and equal citizens of one State... I think we should keep that in front of us as our ideal and you will find that in due course Hindus would cease to be Hindus and Muslims would cease to be Muslims, not in the religious sense, because that is the personal faith of each individual, but in the political sense as citizens of the State”. “But we the minorities” are suffering and still waiting to get our democratic and constitutional right to elect our representatives to the assemblies. But World Minorities Alliance organized a mega rally on the day titled “Accountability & Black day” When Accountability & Black Day Rally reached Police Martyr Square near Melody Market Syed Muhammad Bilal District Ameer, Jamat-e-Islami addressed the participants of rally. He condemned Gojrah incident and said that if any thing happened wrong in that area it was totally illegal to take matter in to civilians own hands. They were bound to report police. Jamaat leader announced that I and our party will stand side-by-side with our Christen brothers if when ever they need here in Islamabad. He adlso shwoed solidarity with those families who has been forced to live on a green belt near Sitarah market.Syed M.Bilal said if any one will try to fight our Christen fellows we shall break those hands. He demanded immediate rehabilitation of Chak Shehzad effectees. President ANP, Islamabad Ch.Afzl also addressed and said we all Muslim are with our christen brothers. At Dee Square, in front of {Presidential Palace A Muslim Hafiz recited from Holy Quran and a Christians read from Holy Bilble then Julis Salik and all participants prayed for Pakistan and Muslim Christen solidarity. Addressing rally J salik said it it very strange why government has fixed this 11th of August as minority day when pur national day was just around the corner on 14th. I warned that enemy forces who are trying to divide Muslims and Christen through this plot. We shall stand together and will defeat them who are behind this shameful conspiracy. He also said its 85th day of our struggle for rehabilitation of Chgak Shehzad Effectees. Govt. should take any step before its reaches to any mischief
