Sialkot, Pakistan: August 4, 2009. (PCP) A protest took place at Druma Wala Chowk, which was led by Mr. Tarcis Javed, the Councilor, Mr. Asher Nasim, SMS Foundation, Bishops, Pastors and Xavier William. The procession started at 10: 00 AM with prayer and praise in which over 600 Christians participated.
The protestors were singing and chanting slogans of support for the victims of Gojra. Mr. Tarcis Javed and Mr. Asher Nasim condemned the genocide and demanded the arrest of the culprits of the Gojra incident.
They also asked all the Christians to join them on 11th August 2009 for "Black Day"! The participants kept shouting in support of the Christians of Gojra. Then the Bishops and the Pastors prayed for the people who died and also for the safety and security of the Christians in Pakistan and all over the world. The procession dispersed at Ketchaery Chowk.
Another protested took place at Lahore press club which was led by Mr. Kashif Mazhar and Mr. Amer Anwer of "Life for All". They insisted the Christians to remain calm and should pray and support their brothers and sisters in Gojra. They stressed the Christians should get united forgetting their differences.
