London: August 4, 2009. (PCP report) A Delegation of UK Pakistani Christian Diaspora was stunned when Wajid Shams-ul-Hassan, Pakistani High Commissioner in UK, openly denied any intention of government of Pakistan to repeal blasphemy law. The Pakistani High Commissioner in UK condemned attacks on Christians in Pakistan and assured to adopt security measures for Christians in Pakistan. A Delegation of UK Pakistan Christians called on Pakistani High Commission to express their anger on burning of Christians alive in Pakistan on August 3, 2009. The delegation was led by Mr. James Shera former mayor of Rugby along with many other organizations of Christians. The Christian delegation was of view that blasphemy law is being misused by Islamic extremists creating miseries for Christians and recent wake of violence is also on allegations of blasphemy. Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have in past also appealed to Christians from Pakistan settled in Europe and North America to stay away from Pakistani Mission because diplomats have no solution to our problem instead they have Pakistani Christian tools to whom they invite on visiting Presidents or Premier dinners for their vested interests. PCP sources revealed that Pakistani Mission make payments to Christian groups to hold welcome banners and to stage favorable gatherings out side hotels where Pakistani President or Prime Minister make speeches in their tours. The government of Pakistan have directed Foreign Missions to collect memorandums of Pakistani Christian delegation and trash them. Sometime Pakistani Missions issue statements which are only covered by government news agencies to satisfy Christian delegations but it is to raise their personal credibility of diplomacy. PCC urged Christians to boycott those Christian group which are collecting funds from Pakistani Missions and stabbing in back of Christian nation. Nazir S Bhatti, Chief of PCC clarified that our unity can only put pressure on government of Pakistan to repeal blasphemy law which is open sword on necks of millions of Pakistan Christians. Nazir Bhatti appealed to all protesting Christians in front of Pakistani Missions in North America and Europe to handover their memorandums at site of protest instead of accepting invitations to meet diplomats inside Embassies.
