Dear Dr. Nazir S. Bhatti Sahib, Peace from Cathe Foundation Pakistan! I am writing in detail on the subject cited above as fundamentalism com Talibanization is rising more in Pakistan. The tearful and tragic incidence of Korian Village of Gojra is one of the so many other cruel acts of fundamentalists in Pakistan. I would like to appreciate the courage, aptitude of being strong and committed nationalists of all the minorities in Pakistan who have been facing tough time since the birth of Pakistan even then have been dedicating their lives for the prosperity and wellness of the country. There are countless sacrifices of minorities in nation building, on the other side the more we are sacrificing for the uplift of the country and the people of Pakistan we are more at risk and at stake. Who does that and why is beyond our understanding. The most recent case of Imran Masih of Faisalabad being falsly accused of Blasphemy, who and his family was attacked by the whole native community who were living with them from the last twenty or more years together and had strongly family ties. What compelled them to physically attack Imran Masih's house and his family? What was beyond their socio-cultural norms and bindings? Who played this vital role in instigating innocent people to attack and falsely accuse a gentle man? The whole world has a clear cut picture of Talibanization and Muslim fundamentalism in Pakistan which is I guess perceived and understood in political manners only. But what is beyond Talibanization? What is that spirit which makes people blind to who never think about their socio-cultural and moral relationships and much more than that? The Killing, burning of the whole village, dis-functioning of the state role in providing basic facilities or controlling the situation at that moment is really questionable. Who instigated a simple marriage function turning into blasphemy attempt and spreading cruelty and criminality? The State, thinkers, civil society and religious leaders have to redefine the Talibanization which is increasing rapidly in Pakistan and killing innocent minority groups. The Catholic Church being a leading segment of the Christianity must play its influencing role to pressurize the government instead of just sitting with the high official and beating about the bush. The Bishops of all Churches (or so called Awami Bishops) must take a firm stand now because we can not wait for more Christian villages and people to be killed and burnt. We can not wait for the time when Talibanization overcomes the whole country and the state when Christians and other minorities will be killed publicly and we have no voice. We strongly condemn the cowardly act of the Muslim religious fundamentalists, and appeal the government, NGOs, Church leaders and minority political leaders sitting in the Assemblies at local and national level to please take firm steps to protect our children, our elders, and our future generations. In Christ, Pervaiz Mohabbat Chairman Cathe foundation Pakistan
