Gujranwala, Punjab: July 10, 2009. (PCP report) Angry Christians blocked GT Road for two hours during protest against burning homes of hundred Christians here on July 9, 2009.
The Christians gathered in local churches and prayed for victims of Bahmin Wala village where Muslim mob attacked Christian on accusation of blasphemy on June 30, 2009.
The Muslim mob burnt 110 houses, injured women, looted valuables and desecrated church after a petty dispute between one Muslim and Christian.
The police approached the scène but did nothing to safe Christian properties and Christian spent night in hiding in near by fields.
The Gujranwala Christian took out processions from churches and marched to GT road which link Lahore to capital Islamabad. The protestors chanted slogans to arrest attackers and punish them according to justice.
Rev. Nasir Minhas, Rev. Arif Saraj, Rev. Sabir Gull, Rev. Saleem, Rev. Amer A D, Rev. Andrew Injeeli, and Rev. Sohail Shakir led the procession.
