LARKANA: July 10, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Sindh United Party Larkana held protest demonstration for arrest of involved killer of SNP worker Syed Akthar Shah here out side the local press club here on Friday.
Activists of SUP holding placards, banners, chanted slogans against the Jamshro police and demanded the strict punishment to involve police personals.
Talking to media men, SUP leaders including Qutabuddin Jatoi, Javed Sindhi, Khadim Ghanghro and others appealed to CJP Supreme Court of Pakistan to take Suo Moto notice against the police atrocities.
Meanwhile, All Pakistan Government Employees Federation took out protest demonstration and observed token hunger strike out side the local press club.
Large number of employees of various departments holding placards, banners staged demonstration led by APGEF leaders including Peeral Dayo, Muhammad Sabir Soomro, Anwar Ali Bhutto and others.
Addressing on the occasion, they said the poor government employees are struggling for the rights, but yet no any elected representative of masses arrived at hunger strike to inquire the problems.
They said that employees are deprived of several facilities and they are facing many hardship due inflation, poverty of essential commodities they said that their educated youth were committing suicide due to unemployment but rulers are not paying any attention to our problems.
Government employees demanded of government to restore son quota for retired and deceased employees, regularize all contracted employees, stop political appointment, promote employees on seniority bases otherwise they would continue their protest.
While other, the Lower employees of Irrigation Warrah Division of Sindh Irrigation Mutahida Federation, Staged protest demonstration and observed token hunger strike out side the XEN office against non provision of security to them.
On the occasion, SIMF leaders including Abdul Latif Khoso, Niaz Dhamrah, Ramzan Makool, Abdul Karim Rajput and others while talking to media men they told that several employees of irrigation department are performing their duties at regulators are facing threats, from local growers due to shortage of water.
They demanded of higher authority of irrigation department and district administration to provide them security and protection otherwise they have threatened to start provincial wide strike and boycott the duties.
