LARKANA; July 3, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh Imtiaz Shaikh has said that in order to alleviate unemployment and poverty in country, Bhutto’s manpower export program should immediately be started and the net of Industries spread all over the Pakistan. This he said while talking to media men here at the Larkana Press Club on Friday.
Advisor to CM further said that present government is striving hard to face the challenges of water scarcity, energy crises, soaring of prices and other problems due to the IMF policies and sanctions, which could not be removed easily. He said ongoing operation against SWAT militants will be completed soon as the IDPs will go back their respective areas.
To a Query, he said there is no need of further provinces in Sindh, because there are other issues related to the poverty and economy, added that Sindh is already geographically small and no need of bifurcation of Sindh he said.
He said 1991 water Accord was unanimously acceptable to all the provinces but resolution was not made in this regard. He stressed the implementation of 1991 accord for the distribution of irrigation water and autonomy of provinces he said.
Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister said Sindh cannot bear more influx of outsiders, so that autonomy and other rights of provinces should be given immediately. He said NFC award and other national issues will be resolved through council of common interest in federal government and cabinet unanimously, while NFC commission will be formed accordingly he said.
He condemned the killing of Sindhi people in Karachi and said the matter of jobs and admissions in Karachi educational institutions for Sindh people will be raised in the cabinet meeting he said.
He said that the present government is keen interested to start mega projects in Larkana, Shikarpur and other parts of Sindh to serve the masses.
