LARKANA: June 7, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the present Local Government Ordinance will be amended with consultation of coalition political Parties and the present Local Government system was very defective, so that the effective changes in the system are required in public interest to resolve their problems at gross root level. This he said after offering fateha at the Mazar of Shaheed Rani Benazir Bhutto, Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto, Shaheed Shahnzwaz Bhutto, and Ameer Begum. He also laid floral Wreath on Mazar of Shuhdah, at Ghari Khuda Bux Bhutto today. Sindh Chief Minister said, in this regard first meeting was held in Islamabad and other meetings will also be held to finalize the Local Government System in the Country, as well as according to three Provinces and their view is that this system may completely be removed because this was formed by the Dictator, which is not acceptable to the people of Sindh, Punjab, NWFP, and Balochistan. Later, the Chief Minister talking to a favorite group of local Journalists said that the Government of Sindh presented its proposal for NFC award. He said that Federal Government was busy to face the challenges of extremist in Swat, Northern areas of NWFP province. The Chief Minister also presented proposal for the recovery of General Sales Tax by the provinces of the Country in their respective areas so that the income of province may be increased. The Chief Minister also said that the province Sindh also proposed to Federal Government to prepare new NFC Award on comprehensive basis because Sindh was major collecting Tax province, in this regard the share of Sindh may be increased, and he hoped after Budget NFC Award will be finalized. He said that in next Budget relief will be provided to Government Servant the, the Federal Budget will come on June 13 and Provincial Budget come on 15/16 June. And that Budget will be people benefited Budget the effective measures will be taken to provide relief to common men. He said that all out efforts are being made to control the crime throughout province in this regard honest, hard working, dedicated police officers were being already posted at different places. On the occasion Sindh Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Sardar Amir Khan Bhutto, PPP leader Khair Muhammad Shaikh, Muhammad Salim Soomro, and large number of PPP workers were present and slogans were raised PPP zindabad Syed Qaim Ali Shah Zindabad. On the occasion the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah visited house of late Muhammad Anwar Bhutto EX-MNA at village Bangul Dero and offered Fateha with his father and his brother for Isal-e-sawab on the occasion of Chehlum (kherat). He appreciated efforts of late Muhammad Anawar Bhutto, on the occasion Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmad Khuhro, provincial Ministers Mukesh Chawla, Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Jam Mehtab Ahmad Deher, Madam Sasui Palijo, and Ambassador of Pakistan in UAE Khurshid Ahmad Junejo, MNA Aftab Shahban Mirani, Nazir Ahmad Bughio, Ghulam Mujadid Isran, MPA Haji Munawar Ali Abbasi, PPP leader Khair Muhammad Shaikh, Dr. Shafqat Soomro, Barkat Shaikh, Ijaz Legari, Ghulam Mustafa Legari, Khan Bahadur Ghulam Mustafa Agham, Gull Hassan Ganghro, Saleem Soomro, Karman Odhano, Ghani Jatoi, Imran Jatoi, and huge number of PPP leaders and workers were present. Early in the morning Quran khuwani was held for the Isal-e-Sawab for departed soul of late Muhammad Anawar Bhutto. The Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmad Khuhro along with provincial Ministers Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Jam Mahtab Deher visited house of Dr. Ayub Shaikh at Wakeel Colony and offered condolence with Dr. Ayub Shaikh on sad demise of his mother.
