Another prisoner died in Larkana Jail

LARKANA: June 5, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Another prisoner of Central Jail Larkana died here on Friday morning. As per reports, Central Jail Larkana prisoner Mohammed Hayat Chandio was died in the CMC hospital, he was suffering from unknown desease and the user of drug said the sources. While the several prisoners after the death of Sabir Buledi in the central Jail Larkana a day before, continued their protest against the Jail Superintendent. Sabir Buledi a day before found dead in the prison barrack, while Jail authorities had brought him for the treatment purpose to the CMC Hospital and the Doctors confirmed his death. Prisoners climbed the top floor of Jail and took protest against the brutal behavior of Jail Superintendent Aijaz Hyder. Whereas, the sources told this scribe that a prisoner Zahoor Abro along with other police persons in the Larkana Jail running a gang of criminals and supplying drugs in the prison, so that the clash among the prisoners and jail authorities have been reported said the sources Meanwhile, A clash erupted on the occupation of ownership of the office, baton charge and aerial firing by the employees of Excise department and Health vaccination workers, several injured here on the spot, looks a battle field on Friday. According to the details, the employees of Excise department Friday morning attacked on the proposed Health office for the store and vaccination purpose in front of Al-Murtaza House Larkana, on the occasion several employees of both sides used baton and bricks on each other, several injured health workers and Excise department, while aerial firing was reported on the occasion. Later, the health workers along with women vaccinators blocked VIP road for several hours and took out protest against the Excise department employees. On the occasion, injured identified among the vaccination workers Social Welfare Association General Secretary Athar Hussain Shah along with workers of Health department Nisar Abbasi, Sajad Chano, Atta Shah were injured, while Excise department employees Nazir Ahmed and others also injured in the clash. Both side employees used freely bricks and batons on each other and threw all the furniture and medicines out side the office and damaged three vaccination motorbikes of health department. On the occasion, District Coordination Officer Larkana Mohammed Jaffer Abbasi along with EDO Health Abdul Fatah Bughio and other officials and police reached the spot and controlled the situation.
