Prisoners escape from Larkana jail.

LARKANA: May 26, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Nine prisoners of Central Jail Larkana escaped from police custody during the hearing from premises of court here on Tuesday. According to details, eighteen (18) prisoners of central jail Larkana were taken to civil court Shahdadkot for the hearing, out of eight (08) prisoners including Mukhtiar Ali, Abdul Majeed, Ghulam Ali, Naimatullah, Inayatullah, Wazir Ali and others removed their handcuffs and escaped from the police custody in the premises of civil court Shahdadkot. After information to the DPO Kamber Shahdadkot Abdul Hameed Khoso reached on the spot along with heavy contingent of police and cordoned of entire area to locate the prisoners. Later police managed to re-arrest two prisoners Inayatullah and Wazir Ali from the out skirts of city and rest of six prisoners managed to escape. DPO Shahdadkot Mr. Khoso took serious notice of incident and suspended all police cops including ASI and HC on the negligence of duty and sent them for quarter guard. While other, notorious criminal and prisoner Suhano Khan Khakhrani escaped from police custody by removing his handcuff out side the premises of session court Larkana during the hearing on Tuesday. On the occasion, DPO Larkana Irfan Balouch spotted at scene and followed the prisoners and re-captured to Sahano Khakhrani near Bhains Colony Larkana. DPO Larkana Irfan Balouch took strict action against police cops and suspend ASI Sahib Khan Rahujo, Ashique Ali Shah and other responsible and sent them for quarter guard. Meanwhile, Principal Population Welfare Training institute Karachi, Israr Ahmed Shaikh has urged upon Nazims, Naib Nazims and Lady councilors that being elected representatives of the people they should come forward to realize their responsibilities and informed the importance to the people regarding population welfare program and effectives of population on development in the society. This he said while addressing one day orientation training program (seminar) on population and development for elected representatives of the people at DCO office Larkana here on Tuesday. He highlighted the historical background for establishment of population welfare department. On the occasion, Yaseen Wagan, Instructor (PWTI) Karachi also spoke the objectives of training course, population situation of Pakistan and impact of rapid population. He also said that in 1947 the population of the country was 3.25 crors, and now it comes 17 crors population of our country. During the seminar Dr. Dayali Gul also spoke regarding the reproductive health package. On the occasion, Muhammad Waseem Hashmi Distirct population welfare officer Larkana also spoke on the importance of population welfare and informed that at present 22 populations welfare centers are working in Larkana. Abdul Qadir Sanghi also spoke at seminar and said that the elective representatives can paly their role to successes the program besides Badar Din Surhioa also spoke regarding family planning and Islam.
