SYDNEY: April 28, 2009. (PCP report) The death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was observed on Saturday April 18, it began with the Quraan Khwani, special prayers and tributes. The anniversary was presided over by Imdad soomro. Pakistan People’s Party Australia workers observed 30th death anniversary of Martyred Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto the then Premier of Pakistan. The program was held at Capt. Imdad Soomro house. The speakers paid rich tribute to Z.A. Bhutto. Mr soomro chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Australia said; Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto came as a gift by Allah for Pakistan in a very crucial time. It was the time when Pakistan laid down its arms and enemies were leap ahead to take over, it was a time when every citizen of Pakistan was depressed, broken heart and hopeless. But Allah heard the voice of innocents people and sent zulfiqar ali bhutto as messiah for Pakistan who saved the country and nation through his charismatic dialogue. He was the friend of Poor’s, labourers, and farmers. soomro said, Bhutto was the only leader who gifted nuclear power to Pakistan, discourage feudalism system in the country and framed constitution of 1973. The chairman said, Bhutto was killed on the cause of providing nuclear power and forming Muslim state. Today’s eurpeon union is the copy of his intellectual property.” Following in the footsteps of her father, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto also laid down her life for democracy. Nowhere in the world has two consecutive generations of political leadership laid down their lives for the cause of the people. This honour belongs to the Pakistan People's Party and the Bhutto family. Mr. Hanif Muqaddam president Pakistan Peoples Party Australia said; Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave pride to every Pakistani, irrespective of race, religion or gender and made them realise they were the fountainhead of all political power. Bhutto was the only popular leader of poor community. who preferred to sacrifice his life for the cause of democracy instead of bowing down before a dictator”. The main ceremony began at 11.00 in the morning at Imdad Soomro house in Moorebank Sydney Australia, A documentary, depicting life and achievements of Shaheed Z.A. Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto will also be shown on the occasion. The workers passed a unanimous resolution. Through a resolution they decided that workers of PPP will communicate message of Shaheed Bhutto and his mission will be continue for each and every sacrifice. The members expressed their fully confidence over President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani. They are fully capable of navigation the country out of its various challenges and would carry forward the mission of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. The speakers stressed on party worker to continue Bhutto Mission for restoration of democracy and supporting poor segments of the society.
