Sargodha, Pakistan : April 23, 2009. (Jawad Mazhar for PCP) A Christian youth was shot dead and another Christian male child was subjected to sexual molestation on the evening of April 19th , here at Marrium Town which sits approximately 25 km north-east, just off the Faisalabad-Sargodha highway on the outskirts of main Sargodha City. Family member of both the victim families narrated their ordeals to the PCP in an exclusive interview. Iqbal Masih 37, the father of the murdered Christian youth Adeel Masih 20 said on the evening of April 19th his eldest son Adeel Masih returned home from his work, Iqbal Masih the father of deceased Masih added, an unidentified killer ambushed and sprayed bullets on him, when he was entering home, right at the threshold of our home. Masih also said that we immediately rushed for the nearest available Bhatti Medical Complex, but Masih succumbed to his countless bullet injuries. Replying to a question by PCP Iqbal Masih said that in the darkness of the evening they could not see the killer or killers. Therefore he was reportedly unable to confirm the number of killer or Killers and the intentions behind this attack. Father of the deceased Adeel Masih went on saying that neither his son nor he had enmity with any one. Therefore he can not press charges against any one, without evidence, nevertheless, Police find out the alleged killer/s. Iqbal Masih told PCP that ‘New Satellite Town Police Station’ (NSTPS) Police have registered a case against the unknown killers of his son and they have pledged to bring them to justice. Christian Child sodomized: The life and situation was aggravated for Christians of Marrium Town after lewd Muslim youth identified only by Israar 25 allegedly lured and took Christian child Waseem Sabir 10 with him to the nearby fields and subjected him to sodomy on the same evening of April 19th. To thwart the lustful Muslim youth Israar 25, Christian child who was being sexually molested by him, raised hue and cry for help, said the Christian & Muslim residents of Marrium Town, this attracted our attention and we ran to the nearby fields to free the Christian child from clutches of Israar 25. Residents said when we approached there Israar 25, who was committing this sin, managed to flee under the cover of the night successfully. However, residents avowed that they would not spare him for committing such a sinister act. NST Police Station: New Satellite Town Police Station (NSTPS) officials said that they have registered separate First Information Reports (FIRs) of both the sad episodes under articles 302, 13-20-65 and 377 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and said that investigations are underway and very soon culprits would be nailed. Boss of a rights body ‘Rays of Development Organization’(ROD) Ferhan Mazher condemned the murder of a Christian youth and sodomy of Christian Child by Muslim man, he underscored that the NSTPS should promptly work and arrest the beasts roaming freely in the society to harm others. ROD members Imran Mazher, Adil Naseem and Ashir Emmanuel accompanied PCP during the investigation of these cases.
