LARKANA: April 22, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed Bhutto group announced protest demo against the intensely malicious distribution of land property (Agri-land) of former Prime Minister and Founder PPP of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto by a heavy police force, DCO Larkana, Mukhtiarkar Larkana said in a press statement issued by Al-Murtaza House Larkana here on Tuesday. PPP S-B termed such distribution is an illegal non religious, they will take out a big peaceful protest rally from Al-Murtaza House against the illegal distribution of property of Bhutto family and detention of Begum Nusrat Bhutto. The rally will march to DCO office and stages sit in at Shaikh Zaid Chowk. PPP S.B appealed to the supporters and lovers of Bhutto to join the rally to express solidarity with Bhutto Family. _____A negligence of PASCO and Agriculture Department could not establish procurement centers for purchasing of 24 thousand ton paddy in Larkana, while the District Coordination Officer Larkana could not attend scheduled official meeting under the Chairmanship of Secretary Sindh Agriculture department Agha Jan Akhtar and Rice Commissioner Pakistan Qadir Bux Baloch and others, few days back at Circuit House Larkana. According to details, the said meeting full of Abadgars and growers was decided that the DCO Larkana and Kamber-Shahdadkot along with other concerned department will identify and notify the paddy centers for purchasing in both districts from Monday 20th April 2009, despite the passage of time the Executive District Officer Agriculture Department Larkana and PASCO authorities are still in a deep sleep to implement the orders of Secretary Agriculture and Rice Commissioner Pakistan. It is worthwhile to mention here that the Paddy about 20 thousand ton is still stocked at various growers and farmers of Larkana and Kamber-Shahdadkot, previously the PASCO officials and other administration embezzled millions of rupees and confused the growers by different rates. It is also pertinent to be mentioned here that during the said meeting number of growers including President Sindh Abadgar Association Siraj Hussain Rashidi, former president Sindh Balouchistan Rice Mills Association Gada Hussain Mahessar and new President Arif Hussain Mahesar, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Larkana Chambers of Commerce and Industry representatives and Rice traders have criticized that establishment of centers for purchase of paddy in Larkana and Kamber-Shahdadkot will not be materialized and implement decision in due course of time. They said promise remained a hollow slogan, like Chief Minister Sindh who could not implement his words for purchasing of paddy in Sindh they termed. The growers and farmers told newsman that they had faced a much financial loss in this year and government has failed to protect the growers and farmers. In this connection, the meeting between Abadgars and growers of all provinces including Sindh, Punjab, Balouchistan and NWFP was held under the chairmanship of Development Agriculture and Rice Commissioner Pakistan Dr. Qadir Bux Balouch in Islamabad on Tuesday April 21st. On the occasion, Rice Commissioner Pakistan Dr. Qadir Bux further denied more damaged paddy from Sindh province specially the Larkana and Kamber-Shahdadkot, said this president Sindh Chamber of Agriculture Association Mr. Rashdi. _____A residential quarter of Health Department employee was evacuated by EDO Health Larkana by police help. The employee claimed for illegal detention by his supporters told media men here on Tuesday. According to detail, civil line police along with ladies police entered into Quarter of dispenser Bandah Ali Chandio at colony near EDO Health officer got Quarter vacated and put house luggage out side. The EDO Health Abdul Fatah Bughio while talking to a group of newsmen told that Bandah Ali Chandio had been transferred from Larkana to Kamber Shahdadkot district for more than one year, when served notices to vacate the quarter he did into comply and went to court, but now the court has ejected his appellation in favour EDO said. He said that action has been taken according to the law and this quarter has been allotted to other employee he said. _______Sindh Korai Community district Larkana held a meeting regarding the police atrocities and injustices against the villagers, the meeting presided by chieftain of Korai Community and large number people participated at Kousar Mill Larkana. On the occasion, Ahmed Bux Korai, Ghulam Murtaza Korai, Khalid Korai, Sirai Ali Muhammad Korai and others strongly condemned the illegal occupation on house property of social leader Ghulam Murtaza Korai by DSP Irshad Bhutto. The meeting also condemned the torturing of innocent women, children at village Korai by police, they said due to unfair behavior of police, tribal clashed and enmities are increasing in Sindh. They demanded from Government to take serious notice of police atrocity and protest lives and properties of masses.
