(Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that it is the responsibility of PPP to follow the mission of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, which was led all this by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to complete the mission by implementing COD a way forward to the development and success. He expressed these notions while talking to the media men here after the Fateha and laying floral wreaths on the Mazar of Z. A Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and other family members here at Garhi Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on Friday. Prime Minister Gillani said the PPP is the responsible to protect and safeguard the 1973 a unanimous Constitution given by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, which is an asset, he added that the government believe in the reconciliatory politics and all political forces are unite in the national issues. He said the Prime Minister post changes, but it is the constitution and the country which have to live. He said Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had a mission for the country’s development and socio-economic progress of masses, which was also promoted and forwarded by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed through her vision. To a question about the incident of the flogging of a girl in Swat, the Prime Minister condemned the happening and said an inquiry into the incident has been ordered. He said Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed and Shaheed Zulikar Ali Bhutto were the champions of the rights of women and minorities, adding that the government will bring legislation in the parliament for the rights of women. Prime Minister regarding the introduction of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) by the present government said under this programme, women empowerment has been ensured; he said the PPP government was committed to carry forward the mission and vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, who were the beacon of light for the future generations. To a question about the prevailing situation in Swat and tribal areas, the Prime Minister said the government was following a three-pronged strategy i.e. dialogue, development and deterrence. He said the military option is not a permanent solution and can be used as deterrence only when the writ of the government challenged he said. Gillani said the Nizam-e-Adl regulations were in vogue when Swat was a princely state, adding, in 1994 Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed had also approved these regulations. He, however, added that now the approval of recommendations given by Governor and provincial government or other stakeholders have been bracketed with restoration of peace. Responding to another question, he said that the United States is also reviewing its policy, which was indicative of the administration’s views on the Kerry Lugar Bill and ROZs. He further added that unless wining the hearts and minds of people, we can not win war against terror, he also said the restoration of government in Punjab and the PPP’s participation, Gillani said the party will decide about joining in government or sit in opposition. Prime Minister Gillani said the government believes to evolving the politics of reconciliation and the PPP and PML (N) were in unison on the view not to destabilize each other’s government. He said the focus should be on national issues such as unemployment, poverty, price hike, social issues and law and order resolution. He said the security of Pakistan is our objective and to protect the life and property of people he said. The Prime Minister said the constitutional amendments with respect to the formation of a parliamentary committee; a resolution will be tabled in the National Assembly during the upcoming session. Earlier, the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani arrived at at Garhi Khuda Baksh by Helicopter, where the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, provincial ministers and leaders of the PPP received and accorded warm welcome, on the occasion strict security measures were taken by the Police and Rangers. __Garhi Khuda Bux: The 30th death anniversary of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) founder and former premier Zulfikar Ali Bhutto will be observed throughout the country today (Saturday), where the millions of people across the country to pay rich tribute to their late leader at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto. The anniversary programs started late night and continue till the Saturday evening, on the occasion a documentary video displayed at public meeting at Garhi Khuda Bux a native village of Bhutto’s family and speeches by various Federal and provincial Minister party leaders. While, Pakistan Peoples Party (S.B) Chairperson Ghinwa Bhutto will also arrange a public meeting on Saturday morning and PPP workers and leaders caravans of both factions, arrived here from the interior of Sindh, Punjab, NWFP and Balochistan and Azad Kashmir. PPP arranged recitation, naats and a mushahira and speeches late night till the morning and all party workers and leaders observed two minutes calmness at 2.05 am here at public meeting at Garhi Khuda Bux. On the occasion security was beefed up and about 6000 police and rangers were deployed all over the Garhi Khuda Bux and Naudero. A Bhutto and offered Fateha on the martyred graves. Information Minister Shazia Atta Marri said that the 4th April reminds to the nation, the assassination of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto lakhs of the people are coming Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto to pay rich tribute, the services rendered by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for the welfare of downtrodden people and Shaheed ZA Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto gave great sacrifices of their lives for rights of the poor people and the restoration of democracy. The Minister also said that the government of sindh and Federal Government also striving hard to maintain law and order situation under control and provide relief and justice to the people at their door steps.
