LARKANA: April 1, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) District Coordination Officer Larkana Mohammed Jaffer Abbasi and District Police Officer Larkana Irfan Ali Baloch in joint press briefing regarding the 30th anniversary of Shaheed Zuflikar Ali Bhutto at Naduero and Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on Apirl 4. In a joint address, they told that all the arrangements and security measures have been taken to finalize the programs of anniversary of Z. A Bhutto, they said 35 acre land have been arranged for parking of 4000 vehicles some 3-5 km away from public gathering, while the 60 shuttle (vehicle) service will carry all public to and from Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bux. They further told that high security alert have announced in the district and deployment of 6000 police force from all the district of Sindh including Sukkur region, about more than 450 rangers with commandos will perform their duties from 2nd April. The DPO Larkana told that 12 SSP rank officers will supervise and monitor the activities in Garhi Khuda Bux and Naudero vicinities. An aerial surveillance at the surrounding the Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bux will be carried out and monitor the activities, besides 45 CCTV cameras will be installed at the different locations of Naduero President House, Garhi Khuda Bux and its surrounding at Jalsa gah and parking areas. On the occasion, Bomb Disposal squad, bomb detectors, scanning, jammers, 2 walk through gates with police vehicles and mobile will be setup to check and monitor for the security objectives. All activities will be monitor by the AIG Sindh and concerned officials on the eve of anniversary. DPO Larkana denied any threats said that due to perceptions of terrorism and security purpose people should protect and monitor round the clock he said. He said in this regard CID and other intelligence services will also perform their Jobs, where the Deputy Inspector General-CID will monitor to the concerned job. DCO Larkana Mohammed Jaffer Abbasi told that the expected gathering of about 20 lac, while the capacity of 3-5 lac people will participate in the public meeting he said. He said various medical and other welcome camps would be established and 60 fire brigade will be deployed at the various locations, added that the medical team along with equipped hospitals and ambulance services will serve the public. __District Mazar Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship Incharge Committee along with Federal and Provincial Ministers, including Syed Khurshed Ahmed Shah, Agha Siraj Durani, Mohammed Ayaz Soomro, Munwer Ali Abbasi, Noordin Abro and several other party leaders and parliamentarians to finalize the arrangements of Z. On the occasion Khair Mohammed Shaikh, Mashooq Ali Jatoi, Nisar Bhutto, Anwer Bhutto, Asghar Ali Shaikh told to the media that the accommodation arrangements and other necessities for the caravans from four provinces, Azad Kashmir and different parts of Sindh including Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Sanghar, Tharparkar, Ghotki, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Dadu and others have finalized and all welcome and reception camps, party flags, banners have been installed at different routs of district. They told that the caravans will reach from today and will pay homage to their beloved leader at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto. They also told that the SPSF and Youth will perform their security duties at Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on 3rd and 4th April. On the occasion the anniversary programs will start till dusk to the dawn with Mushaira, speeches, recitation and documentary film will be displayed, while the lunger will be distributed among the participants. ___Chandka Medical College Hospital Medical Superintendent Syed Mehboob Ali Shah said that all the hospitals including Rural Health Center (RHCs) and Basic Health Units (BHUs) of Larkana, Ratodero, Naduero, Garhi Khuda Bux and others have been put on high alert on the eve of 30th anniversary of Z. A Bhutto on April 4. While talking to a group of media men he said the rescue centers along with 35 ambulances, 150 Doctors, Surgeons, anesthetics, cardiologists, physicians and other consultants with 2000 paramedical staff and technicians will perform their duties. Syed Mehboob Shah further told that two well equipped mobile dispensaries have been provided at President House Naudero and operation theatres at different locations including Ratodero, Naudero, Garhi Khuda Bux have been setup. He said that EDO health and Medical Superintendent will supervise all the activities in the district.
